Sumary: Aladdin and the enchanted lamp

Once upon a time, in Arabia, a boy called Aladdin. He lived with his mother in a little house near to the market. They were very poor.

Aladdin was a lazy boy, only wanted play and eat all the time. He never helped to his mother who worked all the day.

One day, in the market, an old man called Abanazar called out to Aladdin, asked their name and their father’s name. He answered that was Aladdin, son of Mustafa. Then, Abanazar said that was his uncle, brother of Mustafa and gave to Aladdin ten pieces of gold for their mother.

The next day, Abanazar arrived at Aladdin’s house, met their mother and gave work to Aladdin in a shop.

On Friday, Abanazar took Aladdin to the beautiful gardens out of the city, up into the hills. When they came there, Aladdin couldn’t see gardens. Aladdin asked his uncle “Where is the garden?” Abanazar said to him “first we must make a fire”. Aladdin obeyed, made the fire and Abanazar took some powder out of a small box and put it on the fire while said “Abracadabra”. Suddenly, the ground under the fire began to open.

In the ground was a big stone with a ring in it. Abanazar ordered Aladdin put your hand on the ring, say your name and your father’s name. Aladdin made this and the stone moved easily. There, were stairs under the ground. Abanazar ordered Aladdin go down the stairs and bring to him a lamp.

Abanazar gave a magic ring for Aladdin protection. Aladdin went down the stairs, found the lamp, took fruit from the trees, went back to the stairs and began to up.

Aladdin didn’t want give the lamp to Abanazar and this one, angrily, added more powder and said again “Abracadabra”. Soon, the ground was closed and Aladdin didn't get out.

After of three days, Aladdin remembered the ring in his hand, put his hand on it and a sudden noise and a blue smoke came out of the ring. Out of the smoke, came out a big jinnee and said “I am here master, I am the slave of the ring. What is your wish?”. Aladdin said to the jinnee “take me out of here”. A second later, he was back on the hills.

Aladdin came back to his house and told the true about Abanazar to his mother. Aladdin's mother didn't have food, so Aladdin asked sell the lamp. His mother began to rub the lamp and a big jinee came. ALaddin ordered bring food and the jinnee obeyed.

Five years later, Aladdin had a shop in the market and had a nice house near the gardens. Only he and his mother knew about the lamp.

One day, the Sultan’s daughter, the princess Badr-al-Budor, was in the streets. Aladdin saw the beautiful face of the princess and fell in love with her. So, Aladdin ordered his mother go to the Sultan and ask for the princess’s hand. Aladdin’s mother carried many jewels at the Sultan’s palace and spoke about her son to the Sultan. But, the Vizier’s son also wanted the princess. The Sultan gave two months to the Vizier’s son for bring him many jewels, gold and beautiful things.

Two months later the princess was engaged with the Vizier’s son and Aladdin was sad. Then, he asked to the jinnee bring the princess. When the princess was next to him, Aladdin confessed his love for her.

The next morning, the princess asked her father marry with Aladdin. The Sultan sent to bring Aladdin’s mother and said that the next day wanted forty gold plates with jewels, forty slave-girls, forty slaves and thus, his daughter could marry with Aladdin. Aladdin asked these things to the jinnee. So, he married with the princess and they lived happily in a new palace.

Sometime later, Abanazar arrived again to the city in Arabia. He knew that Aladdin was alive, was married with the princess and knew that he had the magic lamp.

Abanazar tricked to the princess and stole the lamp. The jinnee came out and Abanazar asked “carry Aladdin’s palace, the princess and me back to Morocco at once”. In a second, the palace and the princess were in Morocco.

The Sultan ordered bring to Aladdin that was hunting. Then, the Sultan said to him that he had forty days for find the princess or he must die. After thirty-two days, he saw the magician ring on his finger and began to rub it. The jinnee of the ring appeared and Aladdin asked bring the princess. But, the jinnee couldn’t. So, Aladdin asked takes him until the princess. In a second, both were together again. They gave to Abanazar a drink with magic powder and after five seconds, he was asleep.

Aladdin took out the magic lamp that was in Abanazar’s pocket and after, Aladdin killed Abanazar. Then, Aladdin rubs the lamp and finally, asked to the jinnee came back with the palace and the princess to Arabia, leaving to Abanazar here.
From that day, Aladdin and the princess lived happily in their palace and had many children. Aladdin always carried the magic lamp with him, day and night.

Antibiotics history

Sir Alexander Fleming
Antibiotics are a kind of drugs extracted from microorganisms to protect from harmful bacteria. Antibiotics have certain things that intercross with attacking bacteria, kill them or inhibit their reproduction. In human organism antibiotics play a role of amunition.
People have used antibiotics for hundred of years, not actually knowing their potential. But officially antibiotics were discovered in 1920’s by a chemist Alexander Fleming. He noticed that some substances, such as Penicillium, restrain the evolution of bacteria, and that was the beginning of antibiotic age.
Since that time antibiotics are widely used all over the world as a strong remedy against bacterial illnesses. A lot of different types of these powerful weapons are already discovered. But there are also antibiotics that are harmful for a human organism, despite their effectiveness. Earlier the antibiotics were natural, generated by good bacteria. Nowadays we usually deal with synthesized antibiotics. Still, antibiotic materials are derived from good bacteria that can combat harmful ones.
Mold and soil organisms were grown to accumulate the first coarse examples of antibiotics. Trading companies still grow them for antibiotic production. Making their first steps in producing antibiotics, researchers used containers of all sorts and kinds to grow large amounts of bacteria. Later on beer brewing equipment was used for those purposes. Nowadays the technologies go further, large fermentation cells with liquid work instead of that old beer brewing mechanism. The scientists faced also a number of problems, for example, how to purify antibiotics from different admixtures. As chambers released antibiotics, they went through a number of other processes, the result of which were impure antibiotic examples. It was Rene Dubos who solved this problem brilliantly, despite all the difficulty of the process. He was the first to isolate gramicidin.
Alexander Fleming and Rene Dubos gained the Nobel Prize for Medicine as organic chemists which discovered penicillin.
The meaning of antibiotics is immense, if we speak about their effectuality against harmful bacteria. The discovery of penicillin helped to save at least 300,000 lives during the Second World War. Without having antibiotics a lot of people would be now suffering strongly from diseases, caused harmful bacteria.

My house

I live in the third floor of a house in the Campo Valdes neighborhood, near to the Botanic Garden. It's an old house, about twenty years old and it's so big. There are eight bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and a clothes place. There aren't yard in the house. The house is built from "odds and ends", doesn't have  a nice appearance and there are many things damaged.

I live in a pension with many people, in the third floor there are nine people and in the second floor there are nine people too. Most there are students.

My house doesn't have a good appearance, but I love live here because there are very nice people. The people is the best thing of my house.

Beauty and the beast

Once upon a time there lived a wealthy merchant and his six children, three boys and three girls.

One day, the father was to go to a far-off place and he asked his daughters what they wanted on his return. The first and the second daughter asked for lovely dresses. But the third daughter, whose name was Beauty, said, “Father, I only need a rose plucked by your hand.” The merchant, on his way back, had to cross through the deep forest. It was dark and the merchant tried to find a place to sleep. He suddenly found a huge castle and went inside to find nobody. There was       a huge table with delicious food and he ate it all. Then the merchant went into the bedroom and slept on a soft and fluffy bed. The next day, too, the merchant did not find anyone in the castle. He saw a beautiful rose bush growing in the lawn and remembered Beauty’s gift. He plucked a red rose from the bush.

Suddenly, a ferocious looking beast sprang out of the bush. He was wearing fine silk clothes and roared, “I gave you food and a bed to sleep in! And now, you are stealing my roses!” The merchant was frightened and told the Beast about Beauty’s gift. The Beast decided to let him go only if he promised to send Beauty to this castle. The merchant agreed and ran back home. He cried and told his daughters about the Beast. But Beauty loved her father a lot and agreed to go stay with the Beast.

The Beast treated Beauty with a lot of kindness. He was never rude to her. He let her stay in the biggest room and let her roam in the beautiful garden. Beauty would sit near the fireplace and sew while the Beast kept her company. At first, Beauty was afraid of the Beast but slowly, she began to like him.

One day, the Beast asked Beauty to marry him, but she refused. She was still afraid of his fearful-looking face. The Beast still treated her kindly and with a lot of love. Beauty missed her father a lot. The Beast gave her a magic mirror and said, “Look at the mirror and you can see your family. Now you won’t feel lonely anymore."
One day, Beauty looked in the mirror and saw that father was very ill and dying. She went to the Beast and pleaded and cried, “Please let me go home! I only want to see my father before he dies!” But the Beast roared, “No! You promised you would never leave this castle!” Saying this, he stormed out of the room. But after some time, he came to Beauty and said, “You may go to stay with your father for seven days. But you must promise to return after that.” Beauty was very happy and agreed. Then she left and went to stay with her father. Her father, on seeing Beauty, felt very happy and soon recovered. Beauty stayed with her family for seven days and more. She forgot the Beast and his castle. But one night, she had a terrible nightmare in which she saw the Beast was very ill and about to die. He was crying, “Beauty, please come back!”

Beauty woke up and went back to the castle because she did not mean to hurt the Beast. She cried and said, “Please don’t die, Beast! I will live with you forever!” The Beast miraculously changed into a handsome prince. He said, “I was under a curse all these years and could only be relieved when someone fell in love with me. I am now cured of the curse because you truly love me.” And then, Beauty and the Beast were married and together they lived happily ever after.
